Rockingham Castle is celebrating a successful year after hosting many high-profile events.
2019 saw the return of popular family affairs, including the Easter experience, Jousting and Viking days, and Halloween Fun.
The unique Victorian Christmas also proved as renowned as ever – with thousands of visitors attending over the five days, and sell out numbers over the new weekend slots and one-off gift shop opening night.
A real highlight for 2019 was the celebrated Fairfax & Favor Rockingham International Horse Trials in May, and the castle’s first ever Food & Drink Fair in July, where crowds of foodies and families came to enjoy delicious products from locally-based traders.
Recapping over the year and looking ahead to 2020, castle owner, James Saunders Watson said: “We are delighted with the success of our 2019 events and we already have some exciting things planned in the next twelve months. We will be building on our regular events and throwing in some new ones too, such as a Murder Mystery experience and other historic reenactments.
We are particularly excited about the return of our Food & Drink Fair in July too. It is already shaping up to be another successful year and we can’t wait to welcome more visitors and guests
We will keep our website updated with upcoming event and booking details as soon as dates are confirmed.
